How to create a Doterra contact list

One of the most important Doterra business building tool is your Doterra contact list

The best way to create your own Doterra contact list is to find prospects that you feel would be an asset to your business, interested in making some extra money from home and qualify to become a Doterra distributor.

The type of people you are looking for are:

  • Somebody who would like more than they already have
  • Somebody who wants to be somewhere different in their lives
  • Somebody who would like to help others
  • Somebody who has had enough being Mr Average
  • Somebody who is will to dream, but also will to do something about it
  • Somebody who is excited about the idea of making money from home

Once you have thought about the type of individuals you would like to add to your prospect list, without prejudging, write them down. I would suggest about 200 – 400.

When you have finished writing your Doterra contact list:

  • Doterra contactWrite the top 20 names of those you feel are most qualified to be offered the Doterra business opportunity (Those you are closest to or have the most confidence approaching).
  • Invite them to watch the Doterra business opportunity video or email, messenger or Skype them a Doterra catalog and tell them you will contact them again in 72 hours.
  • Look at your phone, your address book, your email contact list, even among the business cards you collect, or anywhere you keep the names of the people closest to you.
  • Firstly check out your warm leads at least 200 people!
  • Again don’t pre-judge, because everyone is dreaming of a better future.
  • You will be surprised what type of people are looking for something new in their lives

Continue adding people to your Doterra contact list

Add new prospect to your Doterra contact list as and when you meet them.

  • A friend of a friend
  • A new golf partner
  • The dry cleaner or mechanic.

Be sure you add them to the list. You should be adding 15 – 20 new people per week to your Warm Market.

The fact is not everybody on your list will be interested in wanting to become a Doterra distributor , but that’s ok.

The reality is you need to develop an attitude within your business when people say “NO!” to Doterra

We know the products are great, the business plan is great and the buisness opportunity is great so why would they say “no”?

Simply, because it is not for them now, it maybe for them later

But remember

Some Will — Some Won’t — So What — NEXT!

The thing is, panning for gold is not easy, if it was everyone would do it? The more people you ask to join Doterra, the more people will know that you are offering a possiblity to change their lives.

Finding the best Doterra business tools and techniques are a challenge, however here are some tips that are duplicatable and achievable for the greenest newbie

For the new consultant we have the Doterra membership and business overview, Doterra boot-camp and many other online resources easily available, but for the prospective customers and consultants it is another story. As a Doterra consultant you are not making a sales pitch, in fact your marketing objectives for a new business such as Doterra should be to educate and inform, promote and sell and finally gain loyalty and return customers. The return customer can be in varies forms such as a Wholesale customer or a Wellness Advocate. (Doterra consultant)

Below I am showing the basic concept of running a Doterra class or party using Doterra marketing tools such as  educate and inform, promote and sell and loyalty and return.

Educate and inform the customer in a Doterra class or party

Doterra marketing toolsWhen you are presenting a Doterra class or party your main objective is to be informative, educational in nature but most of all fun. By presenting information about Doterra in this way you are better able to make the Doterra products more familiar and accessible. The more informative you are, the more authority you will appear to have for the customer. This influence will become very beneficial when the customer returns to you rather than someone else, because you have become the establish authority for all things Doterra and essential oils!

Promote and sell with Doterra marketing tools

Once you have educated your prospective customer on Doterra essential oils and there benefits you can offer the products. The mindset now should be more promotional and direct in nature as opposed to the educational material you have previously presented. However, in regards to Doterra essential oils products it is not a hard sell because most of the people attending your event already qualify and have an interest in wellness and health products such as Doterra. So, don’t be too pushy because you want them to feel that they can return to you when they are ready.

Creating the loyalty and return customers

Creating loyalty by offering the option to become a Wholesale customer or Wellness advocate is the most important aspect of being a Doterra Consultant and one of the main marketing objectives for a new business.

So, reconnecting with prospects by offering new interesting information about Doterra oils, related products and their business opportunity is important since you want them return.

Doterra products and company loyalty is your first priority, which can be achieved by enrolling Doterra class or party guests and return retail customers as Wellness Advocates (Doterra consultants) or Wholesale customers.

Doterra business toolsI always suggest to new consultants that they always, always, always remember to put their name, phone number, email address and most importantly their Doterra landing page on business cards, so the customer can return to you and only you.

Another technique outside the class or party environment is the use of the Sample Trio pack which contains small samples of Peppermint, Melaleuca, and Lavender essential oils or there is a blended oil option. Each packet gives tips on how to use each oil and a basic introduction on how to use essential oils.

Using the sample pack as a part of your Doterra business tools

There are varies ways to use the sample pack, but one that my wife is using on a daily bases is when she is at the gym, at work or at her riding stables and somebody asks about the oils she offers them a Doterra sample trio pack. I strongly suggest you use the same advise as the business cards, however this time put all your information on a sticker and place it on the sample pack.

I would not be the first time that I have heard a Wellness advocate running classes or parties and not handing out business cards or in this case sample packs. Apart from your own confidence and personality, the sample pack will be one of your best marketing tools.

In all businesses the importance of empowerment in leadership is what makes the different between success and failure

Once you have brought about a mental image of what it means to take action in a network marketing company your Doterra consultants will be inspired and take action independently.

What drives your downline?

Once you understand what drives your prospect to become a Doterra Consultant you can transport them into their dreams and passions of a different life.  If not you will find it difficult to motivate and active them in the future. So, understanding your consultants goals, dreams and motivations to allow you to create a picture in their mind of a desirable outcome that can be achieve as a Doterra consultant. If you see someone in your team struggling you can remind them of the reason they started running a Doterra home based business in the first place and get them back on track.

The empowered benefits of Doterra Tools

The next stage for creating a successful Doterra team is to equip them with tools, skill sets and in all the areas of knowledge needed for success. Personally, I start the process with the Doterra membership and business overview and then use a weekly news letter and Doterra video training integrated into multi media to maximize success. In addition, keeping in connect through Facebook groups is a good way to instantly reward developments and achievements in ones downline as a form of motivation.  This mean that we need to be a master teacher for your team if we want them to achieve the same level of success that we have experienced in your own business. You will need to be committed to sharing your hard earned knowledge and experience into each and every Doterra consultant that joins your team. This process must continue and evolve as technology changes, new skills are needed or developed, abilities are enhanced and the success of your Doterra consultant has increased.

The Doterra team builder and the importance of empowerment in leadership

The final stage in creating a successful and growing downline in Doterra is empowerment.  Empowering your team means that you are giving them permission to become a successful leader and consultant in their own right. Your team maybe tied to you as a leader but should not be dependent upon you, so there should be a process of disconnection so overtime individuals in your downline can function independently.

I have put a list of Doterra tips that will help the motivated Doterra consultant to achieve success. These 11 keys have helped me with my business, my team and allowed me to walk into the future with pride. But, mostly helped me learn to become a leader, which I am hoping will teach you.

There are numerous avenues to success with my Doterra tools

At times, success is simply, once you have the right Doterra tools and keys, success will fall into your hands. Anyhow, success is not picked up through fortunes alone. It won’t come to you unless you do something to accomplish it.

Doterra toolsSuccess is the objective of all business people. Furthermore in view of this, it generally turns into the top necessity. Be that as it may success is immaterial, and that it makes it so hard to attain. So how are we able to become effective in our business?

The response is to arrange and sort out the things inside your organization. Your route to success is picking the right keys and the leaderships skill and knowledge to achieve them.

The following are my eleven Doterra tips I use in my business:

Key #1: Be a serious dreamer.

Picture yourself in the next few years. Be a positive thinker. It’s time to set business goals in accordance to your interests and values. This will help you become more motivated in accomplishing your goals. In addition, you will save yourself a lot of frustration in the future if you follow what your heart desires. So, I suggest chatting with your upline about their Doterra Business Overview training, this is very important to push your business in the right direction. My personal business goals are quite simple, recruit personally 5 people a month, the rest will do itself. However, please don’t feel that you have to copy my goals, try and find your own goals that suit you.

Key #3: Aim high!

It is not bad if you aim for higher goals as long as it is achievable on time. Aiming for higher goals will not result in any resentment in the near future. It is better if you set higher goals and trim them down later on, than make a number of smaller goals that don’t lead to your primary goal.

Key #4: List all the possible changes you will have to make.

Think about the specific steps you have to undertake to change things around in your business. It is good to have a list of detailed steps, with deadlines for achieving them. This key is something that needs to be rewritten about every month, because life is always in flux and so will be your business. One day you will be struggling to find people to join your business or buy your products and the next second you business is running away with you. So think ahead of the game.

Key #5: Clarify all skills needed to achieve your set of goals.

You should also be able to think of the proper skills you could use in achieving your goals. You may cut your budget by maximizing the potential skills you could very well do on your own. To do this, here are some suggestions:

  • Clearly define a brand for building your Doterra business, which you could use as a basis for all your moves.
  • Learn to master the art of writing to save money on all your promotions.
  • Spend some time learning how to directly market your business in order to reach a wider audience and achieve higher sales.
  • Learn to manage your business through your own capabilities in order to know fully the ins and outs of your business
  • For some of you this may be just considering some Doterra Party Ideas for others it could learning more about internet marketing

Key #6: Make your goals achievable.

Be realistic in setting up your goals for your Doterra business success. Consider some things first before you dive into the things you plan to achieve. Consider the time, money, and capabilities of your business before anything else.

Key #7: Make a 1-year plan.

After all things have been settled, you are now ready to plan your success. It is advisable to make long-term plans because this will enable you to see clearly the things you have achieved.

Key #8: Specify the moves you make to achieve your goals.

Specifying things will help you see more of what you plan to do. You have to make an outline of your goals, with the specific steps you plan to undertake. All of these should be included in your 1-year plan.

Key #9: Mark all the things you will do within a year on your calendar.

Speaking of an organized plan, you should be able to record all the things you plan to do on your calendar. This will highlight the things you already have achieved and the things you still have to do. It is very important to keep track of your plans.

Key #10: Always make assessments on your Business Plan.

You should be able to follow-up on your own plans. Changes are inevitable so do not be frustrated if you have to make some changes. What is important is that you are able to cope with the changes and can proceed to achieving your goals.

Key #11: Become a Leader

This is your main goal. Become a leader and lead your team by example. Motivate and encourage your team members to be more than they are and achieve more than they believe they can. And then finally let them fly and become leaders themselve, because your job is done.

An effective leader can provide the vision and motivation to his or her team so they work together toward the same goal, and then understanding the talents and temperaments of each individual and effectively motivating each person to contribute individually their best toward achieving the group goal.

  1. Watch the Doterra webinar on the duplication cycle. it is about 1 hour-long.
  2. Making time for your Doterra business: Determine your Doterra hours and in your daily schedule (maximum 6 days out 7). This way it will help you stay focused without being overwhelmed and STOP when the time is over.
  3. Create your list of 100 names (I have created an article that may help your – click here)
  4. Buy a notebook if you don’t have one already so you can make a daily record of your thoughts regarding your Doterra development.
  5. Start thinking and writing down what kind of partners / builders you are looking for in your business. You are looking for a minimum of 3 to begin with. (In my case I am looking for me)
  6. Buy another book for the 6-3-1 daily activity . Either a regular note book so you will record your 5 verbal conversation. Ask Shari how best to use this exercise.
  7. Use all your mentors by asking them what you would like help with. Contact myself, Shari or Liana. Who ever you need . We are all here for you.
