Using MLM prospecting questions to activate your prospect

The starting point for many of us that starts a network marketing business is understanding what we want from life.

We can ask ourselves questions such as:

If you had enough money that you could do whatever you want and all the time to enjoy it, how would your life be different?

So, consider this when speaking to anyone about your doTERRA business.

Take a brief pause and then ask your prospect the following:

  • Would you live in the same house?
  • Would you drive the same car?
  • Would you travel more?
  • Would you pay them off?
  • Would you give more to charity?
  • Would you help people you have never been able to help before?
  • Would you spend more time with friends, family and loved ones?

Example of open ended questions

When you offer the doTERRA business opportunity it should be:

  • Well planned, yet honest and sincere.
  • Start with the benefits available to the prospect.
  • State the urgency of the opportunity available to them.

The fact is nearly 100% of the people you ask will say that they cannot achieve those dreams from what they are doing at the moment. So it is clear that they will not achieve their dreams in the career, business or job they have at the moment.

Then ask, “Would you be willing to do something about it?”

Ask if they could take a few minutes of their time to learn about a life-changing financial opportunity that is helping people to achieve their dreams. There is no doubt about it, prospecting individuals face to face is tough and it is not for everyone. In many cases it is what put people off from doing network marketing or even doTERRA.

However, to share the benefits of joining a home business like doTERRA can be done in words. 

Unfortunately, even today many MLM leaders still preach the same mantra of creating a prospect list and reaching out to their social circle.

Personally, I am not convinced considering the globalized world and the easy access to the internet, because how do you recruit new members outside your social circle?
