Are you looking for a natural pharmaceutical equivalent?

For many years I have been disillusioned with the pharmaceutical industry, is there a advanced holistic healthcare alternative to traditional medicine?

Advanced holistic healthcare

Searching for natural pharmaceutical equivalent to everyday drugs and medication was originally difficult, but when I discussed the issue with a friend of mine she said that one of the best alternatives to traditional drugs are therapeutic grade essential oils. So, I decided to investigate and found that only a few companies offered such a high quality essential oil, one being Doterra.

Why are essential oils a great pharmaceutical equivalent to everyday medication?

Essential oils throughout history have been used for medicinal purposes, for embalming the dead, for antiseptic purposes, and for cleaning and at the time a form of advanced holistic healthcare. So, because essential oils are natural extracts of plants and plant material they are a logical choice as a part of our personal and advanced natural health needs. There are different grades of essential oils depending upon their end use. However, if you are intending to use essential oil for therapeutic purposes, you should only consider therapeutic grade essential oils. The best therapeutic grade essential oil available at the moment is Doterra essential oils. Below I have presented a Doterra quick reference chart of the most commonly used essential oils and the uses.

Essential oils and advanced holistic healthcare precautions

Before using essential oils directly on your skin for therapeutic purposes, always test a small amount on an inconspicuous area of skin. This way you can find out if you have an allergic reaction to the particular essential oil. Most people will not have any problems with essential oils but it is always prudent to err on the side of safety. If you are sensitive to a particular oil, try a lighter oil such as lavender oil, but more so always use the highest quality therapeutic grade essential oils.

For people like me who are looking for a pharmaceutical alternatives in essential oils are a great and natural way to heal many ailments. We and many others have found relief from insomnia, lack of energy, depression, anxiety, muscle aches, injuries, and much more.

Since they are natural most people can use them without any side effects which can not always be said for the pharmaceutical equivalent. Essential oils can also be mixed into special recipes that will help alleviate many symptoms at the same time. These mixtures contain the healing properties of many different essential oils in one mixture.

Doterra sinus infection recipe

Recently I had a terrible belt of sinus however luckily Doterra oils for sinus infection came to my aid using a nasal irrigation

Sinus infection, or sinusitis, is an inflammation of the sinuses and nasal passages. In my case I seem to get from a hay fever which develops into a sinus infection. What happens is that the sinus lining becomes inflamed preventing the sinuses to drain.

The  symptoms can vary so you can have some or all depending on the type of sinus infection, but last time i seem to have all of them including the toothache and bad breath:

  • Doterra oils for sinusNasal congestion with discharge
  • Drainage down back of throat
  • Headache in temple or around eyes
  • Pain or pressure, which worsens when followed by cough, or lying back
  • Fever
  • Pain across cheekbone, under around the eyes, or upper cheek
  • Pain or pressure on one side or both of cheek
  • Severe headache in the forehead area
  • Double vision or vision disturbances, in extreme cases
  • Chronic toothache
  • Chronic sore throat or bad breath

Doterra oils for sinus Recipes using a nasal irrigation:

When using essential oils with a nasal irrigation salt is necessary to not only disperse the oils, but to aid thinning of the mucus and decrease swelling in the nasal passages, as well as removing debris, bacteria, and inflammatory substances from your nose. When the swollen tissues shrink, the openings of the sinuses becomes bigger, and all the infected pus and snot can drain better. Try to allow the nose to drain out, but if you blow your nose, blow from one nostril at a time to avoid ear infection.

1 drops Tea Tree

1 drops Rosemary

2 drop Peppermint

1 drop Lemon

Instructions

Put the sea salt and the oils into the nasal irrigation

Fill up the nasal irrigation with warm water

Mix the contents

Wait for 5 minute and then use

Other Doterra oils for sinus blends that I have personally used and found very good is Doterra Purity Cleansing blend and Doterra Breathe respiratory blend.

A note regarding using Doterra oils for sinus infection

Yes, it can be very gross, however very effective.  Also, it may sting a bit and even give you a fizzy felling in the head like when you have sneezed really hard, but continue until mixture is gone. If you get burning that lasts for more than 5 minutes, then re-flush with just warm water until the sting subsides and discontinue using essential oils as a nasal remedy.
